Our Story

How it all started...

Made to Walk was born out of a simple but pressing reality: crises don’t wait for the well-prepared. As a leader working alongside churches, nonprofits, and community responders, I saw firsthand how quickly fear and confusion could overtake even the strongest teams when emergencies struck. Too often, volunteers and leaders were left without the tools they needed to care for people in their most vulnerable moments. Out of that burden came a calling—to create a framework that would blend crisis management with trauma-informed care, rooted in biblical wisdom and practical strategy. What began as a vision to equip a few local teams has grown into a movement to prepare frontline responders across communities to stand strong, lead with compassion, and walk with purpose when it matters most.

The Benefits for Your Team & Community

Mitigate Risks Before They Happen
Instead of waiting for a crisis to expose weaknesses, premortem thinking helps uncover potential gaps in advance. This allows you to build safeguards that protect both your people and your mission.

Respond with Wisdom and Confidence
Prepared leaders don’t scramble—they respond. Crisis training equips teams to act decisively in the moment, creating better outcomes for those they serve.

Strengthen Morale and Resilience
When staff and volunteers know they have the tools to handle hard situations, their confidence grows. That confidence fuels a culture of stability, care, and shared trust—even under pressure.

Elevate Strategic Planning
Premortem thinking isn’t just for emergencies. It sharpens leadership decision-making, helping boards, pastors, and directors plan with foresight and biblical wisdom.

Lead with Compassion in High-Stakes Moments
Whether navigating conflict, serving a family in trauma, or making organizational decisions under pressure, premortem training helps teams anticipate challenges and respond with both clarity and compassion.

In short: Crisis training with premortem thinking ensures your organization isn’t just reactive—it’s proactive, resilient, and ready to lead with wisdom, compassion, and purpose when it matters most.
